Athens: Bio-Imaging Research Center

The Bio-imaging Research Center (BIRC) at the University of Georgia is a multi-modal imaging facility utilized by a multitude of laboratories and researchers across campus in a truly interdisciplinary fashion. The facility houses a 3T GE MRI scanner, as well as a small bore 7T Varian MRI scanner allowing for a wide range of MR data collection preferences and techniques.

The BIRC is the UGA – Athens site’s home base for all neurophysiological data collection for the BSNIP2 project.
